Self-Assessment Essay SamplesOne thing I've learned from a student who shared their writing sample is that it doesn't matter how many times you take a writing test, if you don't have an idea of what they are looking for you won't make the grade. That's where the self assessment essay samples come in handy.In my experience students will review some writing samples and then keep doing practice tests until they find a solution that works for them. On a positive note the more detailed writing samples are usually helpful and create a foundation for the more focused writing tests that are required in order to advance in your chosen career field.There are two basic structures to each essay, but they are typically very similar. The first is to ask a question like this: 'In our department of a research project, we have three males with a somewhat varied history. These three males would like to go to a conference sponsored by a company in other states. This company provides this company with t ravel for its employees who wish to travel to conferences outside the country. They were wondering if we might consider purchasing a small aircraft so that we could be able to use the plane at this conference, especially for this particular company.'By starting with this question, they know what type of assignment it is going to be and will know how to prepare their essay sample. By knowing what the assignment is, they can see how to approach it, add links, citations, and other things.What really makes this a great sample is that it is simple and easily translated to essay writing. It helps teach students how to organize their thoughts and what information they should include and what should be left out of the writing.Another thing I like about this type of essay is that the essay is just one of three subjects that are covered, this gives them a good outline to build on and start working on when they getto the test. They can focus on one or all three.If you haven't realized it alrea dy, they have a lot of interesting information to give you on the subjects in order to help them in their writing samples. Because they know the subject well, they can help you with the topic and add their own unique expertise that can help you with the answer.Finally, you can always ask about how you can fit your personal experiences and skills into the topic that they are researching. This is the one piece of advice I want to share with you that will really help you because you are not only helping them with their research, but they will be able to move past the questions and start applying your knowledge into their essay.
